Wiring Help Fri, 11 March 2005 07:35 Go to next message
Hey there ppl's

i have a mates car with big problems, it is a ae92 with a 100kw motor, it keeped stalling and stopping.

now it has lost power all together to the computer so there is no igntion, if i connect a jump wire from battery positve to b+ in the diagnostic's i get power at the computer again and the car will start.

also we have lost power to the headlights but they still dont work even useing the jump wire.
(im only useing the jump wire the check everything)

im thinking the imboliser is playing up and causeing most of the problems, but the car has also been in a slight accident.

any help would be great

Eddie

rip out the immobilizer. or atleast bypass it until you are sure that you have stable power.

process of elimination....

check earths every where - even by bridging new earths from the battery to near the computer.

Maybe the alternator wire is loose or has been damaged in the accident.

Also disconnect and clean the battery terminals and any of the wires that hook directly to the battery.

Was the car repaired? Because I have never seen a smash repairer that knows how to put things back how they found them.

Just some ideas.
