I was reading the paper and people are still trying to sell Stupid Ass Number Plates for Stupid Ass Prices for example:
MRWONG $15000
SEXKTN $8000
ASXWIZ $OFFERS
MSMERC $10000
I wouldnt pay $5 for any of that shit!
Does anyone know anybody who has managed to sell a shit plate for a huge price? Do these people ever make a sale???

I believe is nsw the plates "HR" sold for $120,000 to an enthusiast. Cant remember if this is entirely correct. Its in one my issues of street machine magazine.

hell i wouldnt get custom number plates at all
waste of money unless i could write my whole name, which is 7 letters which i cant 
althought Gaz would be good, but im very sure its taken
but 15000 for a plate....thats the price of a decent second hand car!

I reregistered my car when the SIM series of plates were current... I got SIM.369 for $25. If I were to get SIMON (which was taken anyway) it would have cost $350. I figure I got half of my first name for about one fourteenth of the price so I got a good deal. 
I saw SIMONM in Burwood road one day and I was gonna try to convince the owner to sell them to me but i could pull a u-turn quick enough and lost him (my first name is Simon surname starts with M).
My full surname is still available but like any personalised plate it will make it so easy to remember who you are. eg: If you accidentally cut someone off one day it'll make it heaps easier for them to remember to abuse you or your car next time they see ya.

Some plates are good when they match the car but other times......yeah, not so much.
I dont know how people think they will get thousands of dollars for shit plates????? 
i remember a long time ago i saw this corolla with the plates mr sly and he wanted like 5k for them....... Good one champ!

My friend refused $250000 for [CROWN.1] offered to him by Lloyd Williams (then CEO of Crown Casinos). To this day he still has it on his daily driver, a 1967 Crown Deluxe.

haha we once terrorised in my mates rexi,RIPPEDU which was on some ghey pulsar driven by a wana be slim shady!! and in the same day 4U2NV on some ghey civic with a black bonet and monsta tacho the puppets didnt know what to do when it was quite explicidly explained to them that they arent rippen anyone nor that I or anyone else would envy their shit box!! to me good plates are the ones which means something to the car its on, which has its identity somewhere in it
gayass boring ones
something with '2NV' eg SSS-2NV
something with 'SXY' or '26C' FTO-26C
something with 'XXX age/gender' eg SSS 25F
something with 'MR' or 'DR'
something with '4' and '2'
passable ones but sometimes still boring
something with engine capacity
a name eg SUSAN, MIKE etc...
some of them just sticks in ur head, eg i still remember this from back in highschool, D14U2C. wasnt into car back then but from memory i now recognised its like a yellow lotus epirit or something low, flat and sporty

I want NEK.086 when i go for my plates...
When i registered my 86.. i got those gay ass new plates... the start of the plate reads AD-85-'xx' ... my car was made in 85 and i asked the woman to change the 'd' for an 'e' but she said i could only get those plates if i came back in a few weeks - fuck that ! i needed the 86 registered, like yesterday!

my uncle owns number 80 for SA and when he got his new audi they drilled holes in it to make it fit the euro holes, so it has 8 holes in it and is rusting, i think it was a really old plate to ie hadn't been remade with the purchase of a new car just changed from car to car. he was not happy.

i have 82MLS, my wifes maiden name initials and her year of birth, her dad bought these after we'd been dating for like 2 years, maybe, just maybe, she wouldnt have had those initials forever,  everyone calls my wife Shell {michelle}, and he plates SHE11 were available, but her dad couldnt see them, so he got 82MLS 
my mum has
VAL 63, she has an AP5 valiant Safari wagon
BEAUT, god only knows how much shed get for them
my dad has
05ANV, he has a 5th anniversary Maloo ute, one of only 13 made
HSV C4B he has a VX SV300, he told me about these plates 2 weeks after he got them, i was only the 2nd person to understand them,
my mates dad has SV88, mmmmm, walky enthusiast's here we come

Ahh man, w.a number plates rock.... i always wanted to get my car regoed over there and leave it regoed over there ( even tho its over here) ...
over here premium plates are like 400 a year... 6 letter max..
in perth you can have up to 8 or 9 letters... i checked it out when i was over there buti cant really remember now... and form memory it was also a once off payment?

Oh, I totally forgot... my Dad was telling me how my uncle bought his ex wife a convertible astra (god knows why he's buying his ex wife cars) and her son would always be borrowing it all the time. She was complaining about it to my uncle one day so he decided to get personalised plates for the car.
The plates were "IMGAYE" Her name is Gaye. Suffice to say it's no longer cool for a young bloke to drive the car.
