Taking off the Dizzy

I want to take the dizzy off the 1g to clean all the shit off around it, but I'm concerned I'll fuck the timing right up the creek.
I am going to run the haltech IG5 aftermarket ignition computer, so, will this be a huge problem or will when I put the ignition computer on, the timing have to be reset anyway?

Just grab a timing light and check where it is currently. Then mark a reference so you can put it back on where it was.
Have a fiddle while youre there, it's not too hard, and you might find some extra power if you are lucky ... or some extra pinging

Well, I've taking it off anyway,
I reacon it'd be something to do with cylinder 1 TDC, so it can't be too hard.
the ig5 will do it for me.
