Hi people,
I want to give my ae82 some sound and I'm wondering if I had the following, could my car cope:
2 4" splits, 2 6" speakers at the rear, and an amp to power a decent to crappyish sub
I don't really know much about audio or cars in general.
Any help is appreciated.

Take one step back please
All that aside....
4" in the stock dash location
tweeters on the a-pillar
6" or 6.5" in the doors
I'm running 2 10's behind the back seats and a pair of 6x9's on the parcel shelf. I think using either 6" or 6.5" in the back would be better but i don't have the subs in the car all the time.

if its a AE82 "seca" then in the boot on either side of the parcel shelf there should be plastic sections that the belt passes through ..
if u do have them u can mod them and mount 6x9's in there quite easy which will be great beacause you can use the whole boot as a box for the sound. also a 10" sub running in the boot there with the 6x9's is a great idea.
then all you need is a 4chan amp that is 2chan for Sub and 2 for the 6x9's
u can run the 6"'s off the deck if its a quality deck but there will have to be some adjusting on the deck/amp to make the front run the same as the back
in the front i have to agree with everyone and say 6" 3 way or splits . i say 3way because the Addition of the midrange and tweeter is much needed because of the bass coming from the rear.
in my ex AE82 seca *crys* i had that setup and it sounded great .. i almost felt sorry for the ppls in the back when going for a cruise
