if its driving a bit rough, possibly low compression in any ofhe cylinders.

rings could have seen better days as well.

it could also be some tired spark plugs.

Basically what im saying, it could be anything.

Any mechanic can have a look at it and tell you wahts wrong with it straight away.

Check all the vaccum hoses for leaks/sucking/pumping air.....don't assume its the worst case until you have eliminated everything else !

if i were you i would do the general mantiance on the car
change the spark plugs
change the leads
change the coil
as said make sure none of the vacum hoses has fallen off.

if this is a gt4 while the top mount cooler is off, clean it out you will be amazed at all the oil that will come out and you might seen and extra pound of boost.

Definately do a compression test. It's quite common for these engines to crack the ring lands on pistons 2 and 3.

Yep will do thanx for input guys. Gonna do general maintenance this weekend eg, check plugs, leads, points, dizzy and check any vacuum hoses. The engine only has 60k on it so im just hopin its somethin little. If i cant resolve it on the weekend it will go into a mechanic to get the engine checked up and compression tested as well as tuning id say.
