ST162 Front Bar

Hey guys, I'm looking for a solution for my front bar to make my intercooler a little more attention friendly. My car has the povo-spec bumper, which means it's not as low as other ones.
I drive past cars all the time, and I look at their front bars for a solution, it's getting silly The other day I spotted an ST162 Celica and got some light bulb action.
This lower section on the ST162 front bar I have some questions about I was wondering if someone could help me out with.
1) This lower section, does it have a curve along the face of it, or is it straight?
2) What is it made out of? I've never seen one up close.
3) Can someone please measure how wide it is?
4) Can someone please measure how wide it is between the two points where it joins the side sections?
Cheers,
Nathan

Nathan,
I was driving CLG's ST162 a few weeks ago, but he has the car back now. If no one else responds I will walk down to his place and have a look for you myself....
Cheers,
Mitch.

And since I refitted a front lower valance flap to one side of CLG's beast I will try to answer the first two of your questions. Its straight along the front and made of plastic, similar to the stuff the plastic stone shields under an engine are made of.
Hope this helps a little.

Best bet is to track one down in the best condition possible and get some epoxy resin and woven cloth out and fibre glass it up.

Why? I dont want the whole front bar, I just want the bottom lip to cover my IC yet still have *some* sort of ventilation.

Haha, nah, it's not that bad, it's just my front bar doesn't come down as far as an MA61, so it looks a bit visible Subtletly would be better when it goes over the pits.

Then ST162 owners need to learn to drive and stop putting them into things!

that and they are a crappy design for longevity! Almost everyone has had to be "repaired" to make them last longer - I know mine did and I took good care of it!
Though, my car was quite low lol
ok you win

the plastic/rubber lower lips clips always break away from the upper bumper and the three pieces come apart quite easily, so you usually need to secure them all together.
not too big a deal if you are careful, or make better fasteners
what I did..

aahhh... that's what its supposed to look like. Hey, that's my car 2nd from the top!
I've seen a few ways of fixing them, mine's screwed together through the front whereas trd-162's is pop riveted together with reinforcing plastic strips.
