The GF's Hyaundai Lantra's tail lights and dash light have stopped working. I checked all the fuses and globes (rear) on the weekend and everything is good there, the only thing I havent checked is the globe for the dash lights probably cause it's going to be a PITA to do. Anyway I was wondering if it is somehow interconnected, like if the dash light fails the tail lights automatically fail too so you get off your arse quicker and fix it.

Any ideas?

Recheck all the fuses just in case.

Also check the dimmer switch.

Do you have a taillight failure module?

Some Toyotas have a module that will tell you when a taillight or brake light fails.
So you know, and you know to replace it.
My Cressida for example, has this.

Most cars have the dash lights wired to the taillights so that you know that there is a prob with the taillights (danger Will Robinson).

mmm got a bit more testing to do tonight, obviously teh multimeter will help this process.

Other problem being the panel from the fuse box is missing so I cant identify the fuses. I asked the GF about the panel, she thinks she remembers it falling off so she through it in the bin Laughing
