Just curious if the JZA80 had a special release or limited release specification model as the GTR's do, Vspec, N1, etc?

Err no, there wasn't a 3000GT, that was/is a TRD bodykit 
It's the export model, Europe got the same spec as the Seppo's.
Steel turbines with larger A/R's on the hot side, AFM instead of MAP, more lift/duration on the intake cam, larger injectors & slightly larger cast dump pipes off the turbos.
