7k-e into KE55

Any pitfalls i should know about?
*Im pretty sure if i bolt KE55 engine mounts to the 7k-e block it will bolt straight in.
*If the townace i source the engine from should be an auto, are there any dramas bolting up the manual from a ke55? And, will the flywheel and clutch from a 3k be suitable on a 7k crank?
*Will the inlet manifold clear the bonnet of a KE55? Im pretty sure it will.
If anyone has any help or links to a page/site/thread (i couldn't find any good threads but then again i didn't search very hard) it would be much appreciated.
Please dont answer with "why dont you get a 3t or 4a" becasue this car will be built on a budget. If i had the avaliable money to spend on a 4agze i would transplant it.

7KE apparently has a wider skirt than a 4/5K due to it's much longer stroke (88? vs 73), and it also has a taller deck height because of the stroke.
you may find that the KE30 engine mounts, even if they do bolt up, may sit too wide.
KE20 or KE10 engine mounts are narrower. but easier to just mod the old ones to accet any of the rubber mounts that have two bolts to mount (ie cortina etc)
as long as the bolt pattern to flywheel is same as 3/4K, it should be ok. if the bolts are same, clutch will be ok. you might want to get a flywheel machined up to take a 4AG clutch tho, as the 7K has a lot more torque.
the 7KE manifold on a lowered 4K fits under a KE10 bonnet, so i think it should be ok.
what is the 7KE costing? being new and not so common in wreckers yet...

Oil sump height may be an issue...
On starlet with stock engine mounts you have to cut your cross-member. Block bottom deck is on approx same height as other k engines, but oil pan is deeper(even on the back end) 7K's huge stroke.

ahh, and sump
Pasi, can you confirm that the engine mounts are wider ont he block? or are they the same distance apart as on the smaller K motors?

I fitted one to a KE35 and had to extensivly modify the sump to clear. The block is about 25mm wider than a 4k/5k so mounts had to be modified as well. Everything else fitted with no problems.
