has all the bits to run the factory ecu, so you shouldn't need an aftermarket ecu at all. But for power, an aftermarket ecu should be on the shopping list.
hmmm, why better than a standard......
about twice the size,
alot more efficient,
and um, the ability to push up to 1.8 bar of boost.
go and check out the ogura website. incase you dont relalize 1.8 bar is a HELL of alot of boost!
Then thers the fact that what why would HKS produce a kit that has no advantages over the standard item it replaces?
If you have any further questions, lets hear them.
Maybe no-one exactly realizes what an insanely rare kit this is, when i heard it wás on its way, i was already pulling out the cash.
If no one is smart enough to buy this the i guess you'll hear it flying past you at some point when i get round to building up a 1G one day.

if i had a 1ggte or a any car i was thinking about using a 1G in i would buy this kit INSTANTLY.
But i dont.
Sorry, but my RA28 is staying 18RG (turbo)
My crown is a 1UZ-FE
and my AE71 is moving to a new home, hopefully.
Good luck Jaze, i would LOVE to see this SC kit on a local 1G (ie a toymodder) car. It just screams - HORN.
if only 1uz s/c kits were this cheap....

lol, if only they were id have a 1U in all my cars ( when i get round to buying a few). Cheers for the bump man. Due to the complete lack of interst Ive had, I may just build up a 1G, just for the hell of it, and for the fact that I can have a six speed on the back of it.

when someone says a pressure followed by the common term, "boost", this typically means they are referring to GUAGE PRESSURE.
that would mean that this charger is suitable for a 2.8 bar ABSOLUTE rating.
.... not to seem mean at all, but i just dont like misinformation.

Oh, didn't realize that. Sorry all, I wouldn't of bought it myself if I had of known it could only push such a pissy amount of boost. Disregard this post if you were considering buying this thing, guess I threw some good cash the wrong way, I bought it assuming it was capable of what the 'average bloke' considers 1.8 bar boost. not how it seems to be in actuality.
Kinda funny that HKS even bothered producing a kit like this if it pushed such an average amount of boost.

Jaze ,, you still might find that the Supercharger is Larger than a Std one and that is will flow more CFM Of Air.. But i havent got any specs to prove that ,,

JAZE
The actual pressure doesn't meen much it is how it flows that matters just like putting a bigger turbo on a car you don't have to run as much boost to make the same power
Ben
Good luck with the sale (If I wasn't getting a new turbo manifold made up I would snap it up )

search twin-charging on the performance forums. It has been done before and produced good results.
