Its not slack. They love it and are having fun.
Don't have to feel sorry for people like that all the time because they are usually happier than we are.
I have ortistic twin cousins and its fine to laugh if they do something funny because they are the happeist people i know.

and they must be relatively high funtioning autistics if they're the happiest people you know... most sufferers of moderate-severe autism find lots of day-to-day events incredibly stressful.

They are very happy because they somehow seem to communicate to each other and they are well behaved generally and i haven't really seen them stressed at all.
