hey guys....any1 know how to install the air filter into a 3SGE engine model...coz i try to but the air flow meter for my 86 celica so big.....any1 got any idea....

are you installing a panel or a pod filter? if you are changing the panel,open the box and replace it with the new one, but for a pod you need to remove the map sensor from the air box and get an adapter for the pod filter.

if ur putting a pod on.undo the bolts on the top of the airbox lid that connects to the afm. buy a adaptor plate thing from autobarn. u can use the black plastic one that suits vl commodores. just ask for that,they will know what u mean.bolt the adapter to the afm with the four bolts and clamp the pod on. too easy.. Smile

Except that then the filter will be sticking into the shock absorber....

not on a 162.... it will fit fine with a pod on the afm
