 Speedo Not Working!?

Hey guys, i finally got my st165 gt4 running sweet, its not missing or anything any more, but i was driving home and i looked down and my speedo wasnt working?? Someone said it is the speedo cable may have broke, is it same as the st162 model? Where can i get one, how hard is it 2 replace? Thanks

Not too hard to replace. One end comes out of the gearbox, the other end the back of the dash, so youll more than likely have to pull your dash apart but thats no biggy.
You should check for stripped gears at gearbox end first though.

Ha! What are the odds. The same thing happened to my 165 during Feburary. I let the workshop install it as i cbf and it was being serviced anyway, but you will have to shell out for a new speedo cable. Call Melbourne City Toyota (Elizabeth Street) and get them to order you one. I was lucky as they had one in Sydney but you might have to wait for it to come from Japan. Get used to shit like that...
