Ra23/ TA22 rubber Thu, 07 November 2002 15:43 Go to next message
Hey guy's, I'm after the rubber that goes where the front of rear 1/4 window meets the panel that the door striker sits on?
I can't explain it properly so here's a pic of where it should be.

E:\WINDOWS\Desktop/doorrubber.jpg

I'm after both sides, peferebly new ones, or non-perished near new ones.
Thanks.

sorry bout the pic, I can see it, lol.
Yeah it's the rubber not on the face of the window you look through, but the one that sits above the striker in between your door and rear panels. The front most part of the rear 1/4 glass slides down in between where this rubber sits. They have a slight metal back to them to give them shape and support.

Already tried toyota, and any aftermarket rubber place, no luck.
Toyota spare parts are good at telling you the prices, order the parts then you find out that the part doesn't exist anymore. I have been round and round on that one many times.

I know how frustraiting it is. They don't make hand break cables anymore! I found one good one in a wreckers. I think luck is the only way you'll find a good one in a wreckers.

yeah, I'm trying wreckers without much luck.
25 year old rubber sitting round in the sun, It's all perished.
Was just hoping to find somebody who brought some new, yet never used it. It was a long shot.
Thanks anyway.
