Looks good mate !

Don't suppose you have anything on power output or intake temps before and after you fitted it do you ?

I know that are a great idea and would love some figures to proove they are worthwhile. Specifically on the 3TGTEU !

What size T/B did you use and what is it off ?

Thanks,

Cool1: thanks for posting the pic!

I havnt had it on the dyno yet, i'm finishing my 3" mandrel bent exhaust first to get the most out of it.

Unfortunately I wont be able to guage the benefits of just the intake manifold, as i have also changed the intercooler, compressor wheel (TO4B V trim) etc.

the throttle body is a holden 60mm from a VN V6 commonwhore with idle control.

Phil

with the old setup, it had 210hp at the wheels on 14psi, I should have it back on the dyno after the long weekend to see what can be squeezed out of it with a little more boost & 3" exhaust.

I took it for a blast last night and did some data logging on the Haltech, from a standing start, flogging it through first, second third & fourth on 14psi, the intake temp started at 12 degrees, and ended at 15 degrees!

Very nice Phil!! Do you mind if i ask what the cost was for the plenum and throttle body? Did you have it made or do it yourself? Thanks for showing it to us its exactly what i had in mind for my engine! Jamie

MRTA22:

A mate & I made it ourselves. materials cost $22 for the base & front plates, a half sheet of 2mm aluminium was $66, but we only used a small section of the sheet (if i did it again i would use 2.5 or 3mm cause the valvetrain noise resonates a fair bit through the 2mm)and the holden throttle body was $70 with TPS & IAC motor from a wrecker.

If you want details of the construction, email me at
philt18@netspeed.com.au

Cheers

PHil

I'm not sure exactly what the problem was!
I suspect it had something to do with a 1000 or so people downloading an 8meg file from my web space Rolling
