for all you GT4 people out there, buy this. Gives you extra ponies for nothing. Also can remove EGR without the stock comptuer throwing a shit.
buy buy buy, sell sell sell.

i would buy this, but the only thing stopping me is what i have read in an article... here is wat it says..
"This has more aggressive timing and fuel curves, but as the ECU is tuned for 100RON fuel, we warn you to retard static ignition timing to around 9degress BTDC, to prevent pinging."
if anyone can clear a few things about this i might be interested in the ECU.
1. wat is 100RON fuel? and
2. how difficult is it to retard static ignition timing?
thanks.

Yet another person who has read that Zoom article.
100RON is the octane level that the japanese market runs. We have 98RON here.
Now keep in mind, they wouldn't tune to the absolute maximum of the fuel capacity for dualbility sake.
I run the JDM ecu with no problems on my engine. Although i cant use anything but Ultimate or Optimax. But who wouldn't in there right mind?

Buy people, i hav one of these ECUs in my car and its great , jus like LANCE said ,, u hav to use 98 RON fuel, but its worth it .. and to get 100 RON jus every thrid or fouth tank add half to three quaters of octane booster, works a treat for me !!, also $100 for that ECU is a bargin!!

its 1 degree from stock. Put it in, if your car knocks a bit, the ecu will usually pull the timing.
retard the timing if you want.

i'm going to want to run high boost levels too, since i recently purchased a hi-flowed ct26. would this jdm ecu be suitable for me?
i also plan to buy a safcII. would that be a good setup?
i'm still trying to decide whether to use these bits on my current engine, rebuild this engine abit, or drop in a low km engine and work that one up.
thanks for any ideas & advice.

If you want to run high boost, then the combo of this ECU and an SAFC isn't a good idea. Do a bit of research online about people's experiences with the SAFC and the 3SGTE ECU.
If you want higher boost, either go with an ECU with higher maps, like the Group A one, or go for a Greddy E-manage piggyback. Its a nice bit of kit and only $500 or so.

What year is the ECU mate?
I've heard 90-91 have different pinout than 92-93 models. Can anyone clarify?
If not I'll take it
