hey ppl i have a ae85 trueno auto but it now has the gze and t50 box. but i now have the problem of the tailshaft not fitting the box. so this leads to my question.

What are the specs (ie. length from flat of flange of the diff to the seal of the gearbox, and also the number of splines on output shaft of the t50 box.)

i called a driveshaft place and they told me to find that info so i decided to post here as i have no idea what all that meant.

thanks aaron

Sorry I won't be able to help you those specifics, but I just can't believe that the tail-shaft place had zero idea!! Loosers

Wouldn't it be cheaper just to get a shaft from the wreckers? Also for length, get under there with a tape and measure it Very Happy

I doubt length of the tail shaft is the problem...more likely the number of splines if its an import box with the clutch slave on the driver side. if its the original box and shaft out of the car it will fit without any adaptation unless you have cut and rewelded the engine mounts ( I dont know why youd do that as the gze will fit in there the same as a C ).

oops just realised I missed the bit about the auto being in thoer originally..its the number of splines which will be the problem...go buy a new tail shaft is the cheapest answer.
