Hey, my twinky had a new engine put in it b4 i bought it, now i was told it was jap spec but im not sure, as far as i can tell it is the twinky engine, but arent aus ones blue tops ?

it doesnt look like its been repainted to me, have a look at the pic
i figured it was a big port when i changed the oil filter, jus wanna know what the deal is with where it came from, whether it is an import jap spec engine or the guy just replaced it with another aus spec engine

Correct, fwd bigports are 88kw, and jdm bigports are 96kw, something in the fuel map for their better fuel or something.

Um not that i know of, apart from maybe the different ecu and dizzy.
And no i dont know what the numbers are.

The jap ones have low impedence injectors, apparently, which have a brown plastic bit rather than a purpleish(??) one...
