Turbo for 1G-GTE

Hey all,
I've just bought a single turbo manifold for my 1G-GTE. It has a flange for an external gate and suits TD05/TD06 turbos.
I've been told that the TD05 runs well at around 15psi - which is about the boost I want to run on my motor, and after being for a ride in my mates Evo, which runs a TD05 16G, it has nice quick spool, which is what I'd like - I'm not wanting a too laggy turbo.
I can pick a TD05 up for around $700 reconditioned.
I've been told by other people that the TD05 will be too small for my engine - and that I should go with the TD06. But the TD06 seems like quite a big turbo, and looks like it could be quite laggy - which I don't want. Other people argue that because it is a 6 cylinder, it needs a bigger turbo - but it's still a 2litre, just like the Evo, so the exhaust gas volume is still the same - just more exhaust pulses.
I know it's all about flow in terms of size of turbo, but if all I want is 15psi, and the TD05 can handle it fine, then is there really any need to go to the TD06?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mike.

I'd give it a shot to be honest, with the td05 that is.
I mean my turbo is way to big for my motor, but it's in a different setup.
You would find that (and I've seen 1g's with similarly smallish turbos) you'll get great boost response, and at a pinch you might run out of boost pressure higher up in the rev range, but that's about all.
and $700 for the turbo sounds like a reasonable deal.
