Hey all , im thinking of buying this car just wanna see what uz think its worth . Owner is asking $9K - $10K
Car is a 83 hilux with an imported 6 cyl 2L twin turbo engine. features as follows.
dual cab , tray back , 5 speed manual , factory intercooled , dual stage boost, blow off valve, 17 inch chrome mags, retrimmed front seats and headlining , 12 months rego , fully engineered. car drives like it came from the factory, one of a kind daily driven rig. looking for 9k - 10k or will consider swap for 5L calais of some sort.

You can actually buy a late 80's GZ soarer for less, and they came with that engine standard, plus a ton of other options..
Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $5-$6k, as it is a 22 year old ute..

Yeah thanks guyz , Yeah i have a worked 5L vn calais / stero / rims / lowered / tacho and a heap more . He wanted to do a swap for that. Not haveing alot of luck selling calais , thought the ute might be a bett option

Yeh, i can throw an opinion in. but an opinion is all it is.
worth 5 K max. Car is as ugly as a bucket of bashed crabs. If it was a 1J I would still be cautious to pay 5 K. Unfortunatelyt your friend is dreaming. U can buy the twin turbo motor and gearbox for 1000 or a half cut for 1650. that ute is worth next to nothing, its old ugly and the colour of a sunday morning crap. Maybe a workman of some kind could stand it. I paid 3500 for a black MA61 with a manual 1JZ from these forums if that gives you any idea of what sort of cars you can pick up for below that dollar.
