how do i remove the centre caps on a disc hub?	Thu, 24 March 2005 07:00

how do i remove the centre caps on a disc hub? KE70 Corolla. how do i get those axle hub caps off? i cant figure out how to pry them off... :S [Report message to a moderator]

Gentle persuasion with a large hammer tends to work for me. That's if a screw driver under the ridge at the bottom doesn't work. Be prepared to find some new ones though. [Report message to a moderator]

wouldnt suggest driving around with out it on as it leaves the bearing in the open dirt dust and water can and will get in there screwing up your bearing....you usually can manage to get them off with out screwing them up to bad.....just get a smaller flat head screw driver between the cap and the hub and hit the screw driver with a hammer to force the cap out...keep doing it and it will work itself out...
