Good News, Part 2....

...Well, what can I say?
There is at least one 1UZ-powered MX83 Cressida on Canberra's roads now. That's right kiddies, we picked it up yesterday and have been cruising around in it today.
It doesn't like to idle when hot (I think it's running too rich at idle) and there is a small oil leak...but everything else is working well.
The original ECU controls the transmission, the Autronic controls the engine. The A/C was gassed up with R134A and works. The cruise control also works. Oh, and by the way, the car hammers! (My wife illustrated this by "bagging it up" from the workshop!  )
Still a way to go, but initial indications are good!
BTW. It also has a VERY nice V8 note 
So, who's for Bathurst and the 24 Hour???

However, if you see a completely stock-looking (silver) MX83 with a nice exhaust note, it will probably be ours...
Of course, if you "try it on" and are embarassed, it is probably also ours!!!

Good to see. I saw the car on Thursday and Friday when it had missing problems & 3300 rpm, but have yet to be for a drive. hint,hint  .
I have been thinking of a way to put the Tiptronic on as well. It should be possible. Let me know if you want me to have a go at it.
I also have a new digi cam to take pics with if you need any. I would like to take some anyway as i'm building a website for the A341E controller.
Don't know what the odds are of getting any work done on my car.
Guess i'll catch up with you soon.

Hey Russell,
How ya going? Yep, they fixed the miss...turned out to be an unshielded wire picking up interference from (somewhere?)
Anyway, goes well now...
As for the gearbox controller, that may have to wait, as we're a bit broke ATM.
Mind you, you're welcome to take some pics if you like (I'd also like some more to put up on my web-site), and yeah, you can come for a run in the car (It's the least I can do after all your help in getting the thing wired - thanks very much for that, BTW)
