www.celicasupra.com is good if you can put up with the usual seppo bullshit
aus spec mk2's came with the woeful 5m-e
and you can fit any of the m series engines into it using the stock mounts.

which means 7m-gte is an easy conversion
tech?
they come with a tough 5-speed manual gbox, lsd, vented discs all around. a spacious engine bay and low kerb weight - what more could you want?

Also with the MA61, it came with the creature comforts in which the RA60/SA63/RA65 lacked...
Oh and can not forget about the 5x 14x7" mag wheels, pop-up headlights, 5 speaker sound system, larger padded center console, central locking, electric antenna, driving/fog lights, rear sunshade, digital dash, 8 way adjustable drivers seat, digital dash, cruise control (fitted on the automatics), auto climate control with air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors.
As for techincal, as the guys above described, you can fix any M series motor in the car (with some minor work)...
Cheers.

If you didn't want creature comforts, you may as well buy a stripped out rusted out MA61... For a good one, you pay money for the features and condition

have a look under a ma61 centre console.... there is apparently a temp sensor for the climate control, and from what i could tell... looks like an air pump.
But you can swap in the celica centre console, it does fit, but without the climate control temp sensor thing hooked up, all you get it lovely HOT air. PITA in summer

So you fixed the hot air problem , I just got another climate control sensor thingy this time with a pipe as the one in the car at the moment doesn't have that pipe
As for the cruise control computer, I don't know but I am sure it's possible if you got all the parts...
Cheers.

That is why I have two at home... One in my draw (original and untouched) and the other used as reference on top of my main PC desk (along with all the other spares I got around it)

I don't know. Never had cruise control in my car. Nor would I want it. Its boring enough to drive with 1 foot working on long trips. Imagine driving without having to use your feet at all? I'd fall asleep and kill myself.

I dunno - syd-melb is the only time I would want my cruise control... 8 hours with your foot in the one position gets really uncomfortable! (and yes, I use the left foot sometimes too)

It could be possible, just wait for Viper_Nipplex & Hirogen to fix a MA70 that originally had cruse control but after the JZA conversion, doesn't have any connections (Used Most/all of the JZA dash and engine harness)... Most prob they will be able to tell you if it is possible or not... Just have to wait for their outcome for the A70 factory cruise control install or when they attempt it... and most prob it will same apply to the RA65 as well...
Cheers.
