Welcome to Toymods. That's all I gotta say. Exa's suck the big one and if you're after an 80's celica, I'll have to say that your tastes have improved considerably. 
And you don't have to worry about the moderators on this forum. They are legends to say the least.
Buy a toyota and you won't have to worry about lil' boys any longer.

I bought an exa for the simple fact that I wanted targa's.
I had a turbo exa, but the one i have ATM i do have to admit is in excellent condition and is one rare example of a decent exa.
But Im turned off em.. and I think the celica is the way to go.

Well, there are a couple of Toyota's that have targa if thats your thing. The MR2 and Supra spring to mind. Both definitely better than the Exa in my mind.
Celica's are nice too. If you're adventurous, you could always put in a 3sgte engine into one, go back to the exa boys and show them what a real car can do eh?

ca18 into an exa might make it semi-fast, but it wouldnt be a supercar. Why do you think so many silvia owners throw those engines out to put in the sr20s? hehehe

I wouldn't worry, those Exa forums are a joke, and yes you are right. Apparently to them, putting a ca18det into a car that came out with a ca18de is like a massive mission and you have to be REALLY elite to do something like that...
well if the guys on the forum could see further than the length of their (quite short at that) penises, they might actually see some REAL engine conversions!
anyway, glad to see you are taking shelter in a toyota forum. Long live the 'yota's!

Damn thats not good, Spread the word to Performanceforums, hot4s and fastfours and any other big forums i missied, you need to get the word out that their pricks... and not that i condone it, but you can play with their site if you know someone, that can edit website scripts, force entry etc etc if you know what i mean  .

they're having a bitch about me now (whats new) over there.
I just love how they reckon this is all about a det exa i bought last year, lol. Absolutely nothing to do with it.
Also love how they all think they know me and what Im like.

I know the truth and thats all that matters.

Yes there are other forums out there, yes they are inhabitted by a variety of different levels of intellect. I can't say I know what the levels of the Exa forum are like as there is no way I would subject myself to looking at their forum.
Welcome to Toyota land where reliability isn't the holy grail it's something you take for granted.
