Hi all
I'll be doing my engine conversion soon - and just wondering if anyone was interested in a quality good condition jap spec 1G N/A.
Only done 130000 original kms

regularly serviced, well looked after.
brand new lexus water pump - only a few hundred kms old
rebuilt alternator
original engine - no mods
no major oil leaks
comes with wiring and ECU
Also attached is a top condition W55 gearbox, 5spd. - with new clutch about a year ago.
Goes extremely well for a N/A engine!
looking for offers over $500 together
or can seperate...
All located in Perth,WA but can be shipped at buyers expense.
Expression Of Interest at this point, as its still in my car.. will be available after my turbo engine conversion is done.
Cheers
Damo

Gazza - shouldn't be too much to Adelaide.. but let me know what you find out.
Waiting on Transport dept to approve my engine conversion - once I hear from them I can start. Most likely available in a month or so.. Will keep you updated.

Hi all..
bare in mind, $500 is the starting price. Depending on how desperate one is for this bargain engine - you can always offer me more, I'll be happy to accept more cash! Let the bidding commence! haha
Shipping to Brisbane would be a couple-a-hundred I would estimate.. can't be sure, have to check closer to the day. Shipping costs will be at the expense of the buyer by the way - I'm not that generous!
Yes to all queries by the way - Engine will come with everything needed to run, it'll be of no use to me!

If you want more money than the original asking price then you can shove the whole deal where the sun dont shine, buddy!

Ads like this are so not cool - if you want a specific price, list it or PM it to those interested, if you want to auction it, list it properly - you'll only shit people off the way it's listed at the moment. So is it an auction or do you want a specific price for everything?

EOI = Expression Of Interest
a) No Interest = No sale
b) Engine is not yet available for sale so there's no point in me saying "For Sale"
c) Its a means of judging demand and price of such an item
d) I would be happy with $500 - but depending on how much demand there is - if people offer more, its naturally human instinct to accept the greater offer. Plus people will always try to barter down... just stating I will not accept less than $500.
Gabe - thanks for your offer, I'll be happy to seperate if and sell the W55 to you if people keep complaining about my thread.
peewee - also thanks for your support.

oooo oooo.... pick me...
i'm looking at a 1gge atm, it's CrUZ's.... but i can't help thinking this is the same engine... seeing as though your both in perth, his has 130000k's too, and your both looking for the same price... one thing i'm not too sure about, is the celica pic he's got is a red car... yours is white... and his doesn't include a g'box... are you both getting rid of 1g's? or are they the same engine?
i'm looking at replacing the g'box in mine, so if you've got different engines yours might be better to go with... how much with out the g'box?
i'm willing to pay a bit more, on the condition you do things my way... ie... 60% up front... and 40% once i've seen it's all good,
oh... and one more thing... when you sell an engine and say it's got 130000k's on the clock... don't show a dash cluster with 130000k's on it... 'cause what's the chances that you have pulled the car over, and taken a photo JUST as it gets to 130000k's... i'd also expect to see a reflection of a steering wheel too me thinks a good chance said dash cluster has been wound back

hickoz_bro - sorry about the confusion.. sounds like CrUZsida has been doing some advertising on my behalf.
Its the same engine we are talking about.
The red CelicaSupra that CrUZsida ownes has the engine I am transplanting in my car, he'll be helping me out with the conversion.
by the way - I wasn't sure how else to show that the engine had done 130,000 without showing a pic of the instrument cluster ?! Can't really tell just by looking at the engine bay..
Its a genuine 130k.. this car was imported from japan about 6 years ago with 85,000kms on the clock!
one of the best original GA61's in perth.
Certainly deals/details can be discussed when the time comes.
BTW - whats the 1G going into?

i was just pointing out that it seems weird to have the car at a point when you can take a photo, when it's smack bang on 130,000k's... usually you'd have 129,579 or some such $#!+... just seems a wee bit suss...
anyhow, i'm keen to take it reguardless... so slap a "SOLD" sticker on it, and we can arrange delivery/payment when the time comes...
btw, it's going in an ra28... as a stepping stone toward the 1ggte... just gotta get rid of the 18r for the moment, and this seems to be one of the cheapest ways... i've seen 18rg advertised for double this one... and they still put out less power (standard)... so yeah... it'll mean when 1ggte time comes i won't have to do the fuel, or g'box... depending on whether i stick a w58 in or not...

Sounds like you have a good/safe plan there.
But regarding the 130k kms, don't you think its possible that he pulled over and took a photo when it clicked over to that number?
Sound people have a camera on them at all times, and I'm pretty sure Damo is one of these guys.

i'm not saying it isn't possible... i'm just saying that's the only way he could have done it, legitamently... but then your relying on the fact that he had a camera... and was watching the odometer... just too many factors for me to disregard.... but either way... i want that engine...
even if it isn't 130000k's, i'm sure it isn't too far away...

yes.. I am one of those guys!! hahaha
And yes - I kept a very close eye on the odometer for 3 or 4 days waiting for it to tick over. It was just up the road from my house when I took that photo.
The engine has obviously now gone past that.. but only just.. its up to about 130,8xxkms.. I try not to drive it too much.
hickoz_bro - sold to you thus far.. with 2 other people close behind hoping you change your mind!

hehe... well if my 18r starts every time (even if it's not first time) in the morning, gets about double the power, and uses a shit load less fuel... then i might give it a miss... but since hell hasn't frozen over thus far... i can't see that happening either
i want that engine!
