unfortunately the ones in the for sale section are good examples of the and as such fetch a little higher than what i am after.
I have an 18rc already in my shed acting as a weight to hold my papers down.
the idea i have is get the block, make sure oil pump, pistons, timing chain are alright, then in one afternoon, take head off my 18rgeu in the car, put onto the "new" block rip out what is left from my car and slot "new" engine back in. i am trying to avoid having to pull pistons out of old block and oil pump etc and put them in new block because i don't believe i could do all that in an afternoon.

I have a spare one. No efi or carby unit, but everything else. Make us an offer. It has a 88253 Head on it.

Doh...
Sorry bout that, yes it was EFI. Someone had removed the head a couple of weeks ago. I was just thinking of that last night, I was going to pull the whole engine and the following week the head was gone. Forgot about that. The rest is there... I'm fairly certain of it.

hmm lizbeff, a nice leisurely hour long drive from the south side baby popping, graffitti vandalising, rock throwing sunny noarlunga area .
would be what i am after but i will check out mcostalos' offering first
please keep the engine at the u-pull it though so i can go to it at a later date and remove it if i need to. (and if you are feeling kind and generous, please cover it to keep the elements away from it as much as possible )

Covering the engine with the rear parcel carpet is what I already did, as well as covering up the 2tg that was there in the dark blue ta22. I talked someone into grabbing that asap with the t50 box already. But yes, The 18rgeu was covered on my last visit as the bonnet was farked off its hinges.
