NEW FORUM

Does anybody agree that the tech and conversions forum should be split up into 2 categories
1:Carb
2:EFI.
This may cause drama for some, But i think generally that people doing efi conversions or have efi problems dont want to know about carby's (thats why we have efi) and vice-versa
So cmon and support this theory...............

Did u read what i wrote?????
I think people who have turbo's and efi do not want to know about carby's or thier problems..
I cringe at the idea of owning a carb car again and would NEVER GO BACK.
Do u understand know, or should i explain it a bit clearer...

I think it was explained fine the first time - I also don't think that it's necessary either.

I think its overkill, you don't wanna read about carby problems, then don't...that simple.

Just as a suggestion, rather than creating a new forum why dont people just put EFI or CARB in the subject.
See easy solution.

Exactly Gary - The number of times (not necessarily on these forums thankfully) i've seen subject lines such as "Can anybody tell me...." or "Have you seen..." just shits me to tears. If people take a minute extra to think of an informative subject line, a lot of people can be saved from reading threads they really don't want to.

Yep, thats the definite answer, people should write informative subject lines...
Things like "I need help with..." and then starting the actual problem desctiption is just a pain in the arse because sometimes its something you have no real point reading...

You do realise that in the tech forum there isn't just questions on intake systems, so what about all the other tech question's? you mean we would then need 3 forums?
how about we set up a tech forum for just front wheel drive's and one for rear wheel drive's or perhaps a tech forum for every make of Toyota?
what your talking about doing is just a waste of time. its fine how it is.

The system works great the way it is.
There are a lot of people out here who have a wealth of knowledge on both old and new school engines and your proposal would possibly mean they only look in one of the categories and their knowledge would go to waste.
If it ain't broke.....don't fix it (just make it go faster! )

Its all good for me, but better subject titles would help.
Maybe a new forum for funny pics and jokes etc as the general seems to get flooded with a lot of that kinda stuff.

I just don't read threads with bad subject lines any more... There's enough reading as it is.

i agree one million percent, threads with dodgy titles, and ASCII (goddamn i hate that shit) just get casually ignored by me.
Also im not a big fan of poor typing and english. Honestly i dun wan now wat u fink about ure ful sik ryde. add ASCII characters to that and it really becomes HIGHLY ANNOYING, not to mention difficult to follow.
Sorry if im offending somebody here.

Hear hear! (or should it be read read!)
A lot of needless waste in time can be saved by good thread titles.
Not to mention you will find it easier to get your target audience to read it.
