after months of getting things together the 3sge rwd was put on motec engine dyno ,we ended up getting 178 kws at 8200 rpm and this is a na motor not turboed so not as good as Neil Bates 1 but we only had 11.9 to 1 comp and used Mobil 8000 premium fuel so it can run on the street so next year it will be in the car so it is up 45 hp on the red top 1

That's damn sweet! I would have loved to have been there to hear it rev to 8 1/2 or so grand.
Can you give us a list of mods?

Every time I see these motors it REALLY pisses me of that we never got them here.
Nicely made extractors too, how stock are we talking to get this power?

Celica RA45 and Gianttomato,
Thanks for the details and the pics (the pics have been up before haven't they?), I agree with Jase, it is a real shitter that we do not get them here (though they may come out here down the track, probably when Japan has moved onto the next gen.
How hard has it been to fit, very keen for some details

That's an excellent build!
Did you do the work yourself or farm out the rebuild?
When you say 45 up on the red top, do you have one of those as well?

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't the point of vvt to make the cam timing optimum for down low and switching it around to make it optimum for the opposite, ie. up high?
