	| the only reason it would split is if it was old..  you might as well replace it with the same type (not that I was aware that there were different types, although my boost gauge came with "gReddy" vacuum hose) |  |

	| i recall the instructions on my turbosmart valve saying to only use silicon hose as others will crack/split. |  |

	| yeh yould think most any hose would be fine, provided its not really close to the exhaust manifold. 
 its probably just turbosmart covering themselves.
