WSID, 30th march!!!

Hey all,
i am very keen to finally get my car ont he strip this wednesday... being the last wednesday it will be registered....
forecast is fine, partly cloudy, so it's looking good!
also if anyone has a spare helmet i could possibly borrow for the night????
i've never raced and i think the car will only do a low 16 high 15... but geez it would be fun

Good luck with it Stewart. I'd love to see the old girl out on the strip but unfortunately I have to work late. I better see if I can get a bit of an early finish I guess to come and spectate.

just looked at the weather forcast seems like going to be cold night. if its cold enough i will drop by and run my car. in last 3 visit to wsid i hadnt done any mods to my car just rely on colder night. from 24* to 22* to 20*C i've dropped 0.1sec each time
this time will see how my new muffler goes. told place to put a standard size one in for me though i thinks its actually smaller and doesnt feel as responsive. pipe coming out of the cat is actually bigger then the pipe going into the new muffler. makes a very annoying buzzing sound when exhaust system is cold aswell

well, rain held off, air temp about 18-19, got 3 runs in (with a 1-1.5hr delay in the middle  )
reactions times sucked, 60ft times sucked, but ET and MPH was fairly consistent at about 17 flat, and 77MPH.....
could probably get that down a bit with proper ignition timing sorted, and if i had half an idea how to launch, but meh...
damn it was fun!!!!! raced the same magna twice (he got 15.5) and was equal with him up to end of second gear then he pulled away...

i heard on the radio today that som1 got run over in the pits by a torana, they r in hospital in critical condition... ne more info on this?

Yeah a guy jump started his car and it ran over him.

Yeah a guy jump started his car and it ran over him.

yeah hence the delay for an hr or so, helicopter had to come and pick the guy up

I'm spewing I didn't see the car there. Otherwise I would of come up and say hi.
I was with the red ralli art magna.
Yeah 11 sec St185 Celica. Asked the driver about it but he wasn't to forth coming said it had had cams and turbo work but he couldn't get much out of him.

thanks, it's a grandpa style thingy my Ex's mum got from Ireland... seriously....
as with most of my clothes it now has grease stains, and has been relegated to "Car Duties"
