I'm thinking by linear or variable u mean... yes they are
progressive springs. The free height i will measure a bit later today and spring rate my friend has sent an email to King Springs asking it, so just waiting for a reply.

well King Springs said that they were 3.23KG/MM which is quite surprising... but none the less, if thats what the manufacturer said...

It is quite surprising, given the spring rate is variable across the total length of the coil. They probably mean 3.3KG/mm max, not average or minimum or anything else.
Thanks, I'm after some linear coils around 4kg/mm.
