3sgte wont fire Tue, 29 March 2005 10:08 Go to next message
my car got written off a wile ago and i recently changed the loom , ecu and engine into a new shell, i had it running but on 3 cylinders because there was a crack in one of the dizzy crowns.. so i replaced the dizzy cap , rotar button , and leads

but now it wont fire , but it gets pre ignition sought of stuff after u turn the key off like it will fire once wen u turn the key off, wen i pull a plug it will spark sometimes but mostly it wont , every now and then it will spark the way it should , the only thing i can think of is the ignitor is playing up somehow, or a wire has broken somewhere in the loom ????

has anyone had this problem or could tell me if the ignitor could be the problem or point me in the right direction

thanks

Get out the multimeter and start searching. Best advice i can give. If the ignitor is playing up, usually wiring will be the culprit. Either bad voltage or something else.
