I put down one - but then realised that I've been pulled over 3 times. Once whilst over-taking in the left hand lane doing 95 in a 90 zone trying to roll-start the car cause it had stalled whilst going 100.
Second time was when I was driving a friends MA61 (yuk - 5ME) cause I had just put it back together for him and the cop was wondering why we were driving out so late, this was at midnight - wtf?
And the third time was going 95km/h in a 60km/h zone in the ST165, I got let off.... - again - wtf?

Hi,
If you mean by RBT, then twice. If you mean by the cops for speeding, breaking the rules or just generally looking suspicious, then twice.
First time was when I went through a stop sign back in 1975. The second time was being pulled over for doing 140k through Cronulla's main drag one night, in 1976.
I was chased by a cop through traffic one day but he didn't catch me. I wasn't going fast, but there were lots of cars and he got caught up. He didn't have his lights or sirens, so I don't know what the go was. Anyway, as we drove along (at Sans Souci) we pulled apart the billy and threw bits of it out the car. My mate swallowed the stash and downed it with a coke. He was off his tits for a day or so.
I got a message at work to call the cop - he'd obviously got my plates and chased me down. I called him but he was on Easter Show duty that day. I never called back again and never heard from him either. This was in 1976 also.
Those things happened when I owned an old EH holden.
One night I got in a drag with a Torana SS hatchback and we were doing over 160k over Tom Uglys bridge and we dragged all the way to Caringbah. We stopped at the lights and he pulled out his cop license. He was off duty and told me to get out. We had a chat and he checked out my car (I had recently got the RA25) and told me to be more careful, then he drove off. That was in 1984.
Since then, nothing. I'm very careful and I have an honest face and everyone loves me and leaves me alone.
Oh, I got three fines since then - twice for speed camera in my wifes cars, and once for going through a red light in the 25.
All up, not too bad a record for a bloke who's had his license since 1975. But my dad, who still drives (and he's pushing 80) has never been fined or pulled over, and he's had his license since WW2!

Just the once when my friend wasn't wearing his seatbelt. He was on crutches at the time because he tore ligaments in his ankle from Basketball. I sailed thru a roundabout that was manned by a cop on his motorcycle and I watched my rear-view mirror to see him pull out behind me and flash his siren. I thought WTF until my brother told me that my mate hadn't put his belt on. Anyway, the cop went straight to HIS window and gave him a warning, he didn't even speak to me, the DRIVER!!!
Narrowly missed a breathalyser when I'd had a drink after work (not something I normally do) but I was going back to my GF's with both of us in the car and I noticed a breathalyser station manned by about 10 cops to my right as I approached a T-Junction, I swiftly indicated left and went up the first side street and pulled over - got my GF to drive thru the breath testing station, worked a treat! Sucks that she lives down the road from Country Club Casino!

I've been driving for over 8 years and I've been pulled over at a RBT stop once, that was last year, the cop didn't even ask to see my licence.
Other than that I've never been pulled over or fined for anything, not even a parking ticket. We'll see what happens once my car's all done up though

I put 6-11, because it's been more than I can remember really. for everything from "trying to speed" (according to a hwy patrol guy, altho i admit I was traffc weaving a bit) to overtaking an undercover going 50 over the limit. And, in total, been fined once for 79 in a 60 zone. a year later, going through the same area, I realized it was a 70 zone, but the cop hadn't put the cross st on the fine, so I couldn't challenge it

Ummm...
Once coz they thought i had no seatbelt on..
Once because i didnt put my indicator on before i stopped in a turning lane so i got breath tested..
Once for no P plates..
Once for them just being assholes.. but i talked my way out of it.. "height of car? i wouldnt know anything about the height of my car.. bald tyres? tinted lights? i dont know how to do any of that sort of stuff, must have been like that when i bought the car!" =^,^=
I think ive been done more by fixed speeding cameras than i have been pulled over by real cops

Geez, this is gonna take a while. I have to think back to about the same era as River.
Hmmm, first one was for an incorrect right hand turn (read, nearly knocking a cop off his bike while I was cutting a corner)circa 1978
Second was the very night I got my licence back, I was doing 90 mph up Waterloo Road at Chullora.1978 as well.
3rd was a cop chasing me in my HR, nearly beat the prick too. (was also the first time a cop ever pulled his gun on me)circa 1980.(had an ounce of weed in the glovebox which he didn't open thankfully)
4th was driving unregistered bike and trying to kick a cop on a dirt bike off his bike. (I swear I didn't know it was a cop at the time)out in the scrub at Menai.
5th was driving my HQ Statesman unregistered.
the rest are just minor infractions like towbar obscuring the number plate and shit like that.
I have been a very good boy as an adult though. Having my Golds for nearly 15 years. The last time booked was speeding along Heathcote road late one night about 15 years ago.
My brain hurts remembering all that.
Cheers, Greg.

geez and ppl have the arrogance to say that only p platers today are bad take a look at yourselves oldies shit happened when you were young to it just wasn't publicised. Take a look at the death toll i think it is 78 or some other year round then the road toll halves what happened RBT.
And the death toll was around 5000 back then compared to around 1000 now or some shit like that

Get your car engineered and don't do anything illegal/dangerous. Then you won't have anything to hide!
4 times for me.
Once in my celica as I "went round that corner a bit fast". Stupid female cop fined me for neg driving. There were no wheel screech or outside lines, but I was a P plater at the time. And they were booking everyone (2 RX7s came round the corner while she was booking me, she waved them both over and told them to wait for her...)
Once down at Goulburn as I wasn't wearing my front numberplate after being at the track. The cop went over the WHOLE car and finally said I've got a "minor modification" pointing at the pod filter. Didn't notice it was a V8 in a Supra (and that even the pod filter was engineered). But I was nice and polite and he let me go. Even let me go to the shop to get the putty for my petrol tank before going back to the track and putting my plate back on.
Another 2 that they just pulled me over to see if I had two heads. I was polite and so were they and didn't push it.
I got trailed by a marked car a week ago, it actually followed me onto the M5 too. I just drove nicely (2-5kms above the speedlimit still) and he finished his check, found that I had legalised my engine swap with the RTA or whatever he was doing and got off the next exit. I mention this as he wouldn't have been on the M5 usually as its the highway patrol's area of expertise.

been driving since beginning of december 2004.
never pulled over, never stopped, never through booze bus, basically, police dont see me.
i wonder how long till i get the celica. and how long till they pull me over :/
all in all, if you drive a van, or a generally stock looking VT Commo (springs have been chopped, its about a 1" drop) hubcaps still but.... you wont get harassed...
unless the cops here are just lazy.

6-11, most of the time its for RBTs, the best time was when i had Muse cranking in the car and was getting into the music, boping my head and what not. A paddy wagon pulled me over for an RBT and couldn't belive i wasnt drink driving.

RBTs don't count, unless they're the "RBT" they use when they need an excuse to pull you over and see if they like the look of you (I swear, being caucasian and well spoken has got me out of so many fines)

Yeah by RBT i ment being targeted, followed and then told "this is a random breath test". If i were to count actual set up RBTs, it would probably be over 11.

i believe i have copped it "doggystyle" from the police, paid off over $2000 in fines and still have a "pair of scissors fine" - $550 and a $880 camera fine.
funny enough that most fines were for defects.....

Come on, youd have to be, Extreeemly unlucky to take the car for a burn around the block and get pulled over . Seriously getting a car detailed is the best, its around 150 and they spend 5-6 hours cleaning your car, they did my car for 5 hours a while back and sisters st184 for 6 hours, i couldnt beleive the results.

OK I havent even got my P's yet.
On L's: 1 RBT
Illegally driving with P plates up: 1 RBT and...
Well I was cruising around dandenong (I pride myself in being a very safe driving illegal p plater, no joke) and I just decided to rip it up around a corner at one stage, I accelerated as fast as the 4k could, just for fun, and luckily didnt go over the speed limit before I saw the flashing lights in the rear view mirror...
Anyway they pulled me over, I'm sitting in my car with my friend in the passenger seat and we're both completely freaking out. And he suddenly turns to me and goes "use the fake id i gave you". I thought about it for a minute and thought I may as well give it a shot. The cop comes to the window, takes the ID, checks it, comes back, asks me why i was in "such a hurry", gives me a breath test, then lets me go saying "well I think theres a hole in your muffler and your car looks illegally lowered, better fix those up", hands me my id back and I drive off. He mustve been in one hell of a good mood...
Now most of you are wondering, hangon if he checked the id.... Thing was the ID was a real P's licence that was one of my friend's friends. It was still perfectly valid and for it to work for me to buy ciggies, it looks exactly like me. Hence, I got real fuckin lucky and from then on I havent done anything too hectic when there are any other cars around.
Kev.

My record is 7 times in one night for RBT and a mate got done like 11 times that same night. They were doing the tests on a fairly main road while we delivered pizzas. You'd think they'd recognise our cars after a while and wave us though.... nope.
I've been pulled over countless times other than that and I've got no complaints with their reasoning. Look/act/sound like a tool, and of course they'll check you out.

bahahah, that reminds me of what my friend was tellin me a few weeks ago. Him and a couple of friends were driving around (probably about 5 cars or so), and they saw a booze bus, none of them were pissed but thought of something to piss off the coppers. They all went through, then when they got to the next set of lights , chucked a u'ey and went straight through again, and again, and again, eventually the coppers said if they come back around one more time they would arrest them for messing with police business ahahaha

Been pulled over more than 6 times, but have lost count.
RBT's, now there is a good one, was pulled over on christmas day, boxing day, the 27th and the 28th of December. All, mind you, going home from work 4 days running, at 4 different locations, and i knew all the cops who pulled me over. Funny that, seeing as they come to me to report stuff to the courts.
But ya get that.

i thought i might of got pulled over last night but i didnt. Rounding a merging lane the lights change so i accelerate to make sure i get round before cars are coming at me, i am in second probably 65kmph. Go into the right hand lane the car hits a bump and gets unsettled doesn't brake traction but my car being screwed is blowing smoke cos its revving so it may look like from a rear vision mirror that a smoked it up anyway, parked in the middle of the road is a cop car facing the traffic going the other way, i hit the brakes bring it back down to 60 and cruise by with a sigh of relief that they don't put there sirens on, thankgod they weren't looking in there mirrors i wasn't really doing anything illegal but it may of appeared that i was i mean aparts from 5 kays over which you can't get booked for anyway in nsw.

Never been pulled over, ever, for the whole time I've been driving.
Needless to say, I was driving an excel and then a Cressida, they don't attract much attention.
I'll probably get pulled over now that I've got a Soarer tho :/

3 times in my car late at night and for "being suspicious" and once for apparently trafficing illicit materials(they searched my car, left everything on the side of the road and left after they found nothing). Once for doing 97 in a 50 zone at 3 in the morning, i got let off after a licence check and being told to "drive safely".
Quite a few times on my bike but i frequently ride the well known bike hot spots(LOVE THOSE TWISTIES). Funnily enough the only times i've been fined have been on my bike The rudest cops i've encountered have been when on my bike. I've met more polite police when being charged with drunk and dissorderly and thrown in the watched house.

Since starting to drive in '92:
Disco lights once, no fine.
Doing pizza delivery, roadside cop after putting in a no left turn sign behind some trees where there was no such sign before for years: $60. But it caused too much trouble because it's just too busy a route, and they took the sign down and I got a refund. Up yours fuckers, go catch some drug users that are driving, or wanks on mobile phones.
RBT about 3 times I think. (I don't drink).
Emissions test once. (put more of these in instead of speed camera's ya dumb fucks). Also more car inspections instead of camera's will help much more in decreasing roadkill.
EDIT: not that I've lost any points due to a camera, my license is 100% clean.
Reason for edit now, I only chose one on the poll because I took it as meaning mobile disco pull overs only, the rest don't really count.

ive been pulled over 2 times since 2001 (when i got my p's)
once when i was picking my mate up to goto Macca's on a big Gaming night i pulled in his driveway with the lights off so i didnt wake his family then when i reversed out i turned thme back on but as i did a cop was coming around the corner
- pulled over - breath tested- got no warning nothing .. coz i wasnt doing anything wrong i guess driving after 12 is an odd thing *shrug*
2nd time was ages later overtaking some volvo on a downhill going like 40 (60 zone) and got up to 79 (in the rolla) and there were cops at the bottom of the hill with a speed gun thing - pulled over
1 point and $100
funny story - when i was going to the bank to get some money to pay the $100 fine i had my first crash 24th of Dec 2002 with my 1985 Seca CS-X into the back of a Mazda 323 Protege (spelling) - costed me $180 to fix my rolla and $4800 for the Mazda - fucking plastic pieces of shit only hit him at 50kph too

Got pulled over at around 3:30am in west gosford.
Asked had I had anything to drink, etc, usual questions, he walked around the car and had a good long look, and then said to "take it easy" and went back and they drove off!
I was worried I had a light out or I was about to get pinged for something...

Only been pulled over once in the MX6, and that was for doing 79 in a 60 zone (on a road that should be marked as 70 anyway).
Got a couple of fines in the mail from red light cameras, so the 3 fines all added up to a license suspension.
Took it to court, won, and only lost my license for 1 weekend rather than 3 months, and got all my points back
Never been pulled over into an RBT either, but I don't drive around at night much.
