Hey all
im a mtbiker.......so i just use my BMX for cruising round the streets....(dont even use it for that anymore since i have a car).....and im thinking just for fun Ricing up the bmx tastefully...
So far im thinking .....run heaps of Blue LED's off one of those small 9 volt batteries or 2 hooked up to the bike with a switch and appropriate resistors
the bike's frame is chrome already so im set there
The ultimate would be to rice up one of those cruiser bikes but i dont have a spare few grand for one of those
Gimme some ideas

I think u need to go to the wreckers and find as many chrome rear view mirrors of doors, make a custom set of hangers with about 30 pairs of mirrors hanging off, dontgo higher than 6feet or u wiil start to get top heavy and take awy handling...

Spray the axles with blue spraypaint. Like ricey lancer drum brakes.
And if you define rice as unnecessary accessories, brakes fit in there. Rip 'em off. Your shoe soles will be quite adequate braking for your riced up bmx. Buy a comfy gelpad for the seat and write "snap on" on it with silver permanent marker. Drop the seat as low as possible too, we're talking maximum coolness, minimum efficiency.
Cut the pedal bars (that chromy bit between the pedal the crank gear), and weld them back on with a bit chopped out. The ultimate short-peddler.
I'll get back when I have more ideas.

cut your handle bars really short so they aren't as wide as before.... kinda equivalent of a 12inch steering wheel.

a couple of friends of mine into MTB are all into fanging up shitty old BMX for absolutely maximum impact when parked around uni. i say it's not so much what it looks like, but picture this... my friend has a hack old BMX and at uni he locks it up to very rediculous places, like onto stair railings, and then hangs it over the edge in mid air down the stairwell. he also hangs it from signs, etc... one day we even climbed up a very tall tree, locked it up and left it thee over night...
but more back onto your point of ricing it up... you definately gotta get one of those squeeky toys or horns if you like to attach to the handle bars. and then nick name the bike by what the horn looks like... we have a shark bike and a dino bike!!!!
also glue some porno pics to the frame then clear coat over them to protect them... oh and you have to have spoky dokes!!!!!

Put a really small wheel on the front end and have like a hot rod look going .
Or if you have the metal working tools and skills, extend the forks.
Oh and you have to have a cheese cutter on the front end and a big fat (well as fat as they come) on the back.

I dont wanna change the physics of it too much
ie: cutting cranks, extending forks ....cause i still do a little bit of street stuff...so yeah
keep them coming though
Tyre wise how much wider can it be then the Rim.....cause yeah i wanna put a fat wheel at the back

de badge/ de sticker it, get some rice performance stickers, eg MUGEN and HI OCTANCE, put some blue lights on the handle bars, a sports exhaust of some imagination, and you cant go without some fat beats, but i will leave that up to you and the 500 or so dynomoes that will be required to supply the power.
love to see the rice racer completed
