500cc RX-7 S4 injectors into a GT4 185 Wed, 30 March 2005 22:58 Go to next message
while not a huge upgrade in avaliable fuel (40cc's I'm lead to believe) if they will fit I reckon they'll be a worth while upgrade as I can aquire them at an excellent price.

My question is will they fit the standard 185 fuel rail and if not is it possible retro-fit them with little effort.

Cheers
Jordan

P.S: sorry if this is a repost

they are in fact 550 cc as i have set of 6 for sale at the moment.

it would most likely require a new fuel rail to be made. 1 metre of fuel rail costs $44. you will need to have it cut to size and drilled for your engine and injector spacing. you will need to have weld on's put onto ech end of the rail for you fuel lines and possibly a modification to the injectors stub where the injectors fire into.

On the other hand the injectors out of the Gen 3 3SGTE are a direct fit into the Gen 2 fuel rail and are 550cc injectors.

Would the 205 injectors require a computer upgrade aswell?

Yes of course increasing the flow through the injectors by 25% will need a change to the management.

correct again - give that man a goold star Smile

something like the haltech / microtech/ wolf EMS setup would be advised if you dont want a all balls out rally machine ( then motec all the way )

get a set if you can - then - if you can wait a bit for management - im going to talk to Wolf soon about a group ECU buy for the club
