Heya guys - i just need some help with water problems on my RA65
i have done a search and found a bit of info but i need some more help
basically when it rains the water comes in small gaps in the side windows - i think the seal may be a bit too floppy
can anyone give me any tips or does anyone with a MA61 or RA60 know how to fix this problem ?
also some other places where water may get in that i dont know about so i can patch it up before it rusts -
its just that its getting a bit wet in Perth and i need to fix this
cheers !

I asked my spare parts dude, and apparently they can't get those seals anymore. I say 'apparently' as I took his word and havent gone looking elsewhere. My seals are still good and don't need a replacement yet. My best guess is to get some made up?

there was a thread recently on window rubbers for old celicas - do a search and you'll be able to find it. be warned, not cheap!

You could do a dodgy and use some silicone sealant either inside the existing seal or over the existing seal...
Are you talking about the rear passenger windows?
I know mine gets wet somewhere in the pillar (my seatbelts get wet).

Only if its blocking the drainage. Other than that, I can't imagine why it would promote rust?!

Doesn't the silicone have an acid in it? Correct me if I am wrong...
Cheers.

are you talking about between the Body and Seal ? i have some clear drying expensive silicone at home that would be used-
in the other thread someone said that they glued in some sort of piping to push the seal out - but i believe it isnt coming in between the Seal/glass but the the seal/body

Most silicon leaves an acidic residue when it cures (or something like that)....you can get types that don't tho
