Hi,
Is there any difference between a starter motor fomr twin cam 4age or 4ac carby engine in ae82?
please help

Quite possibly the 4ac is a non-reduction starter, wheras the 4age ones are reduction type.

using a 4ac starter motor on a 100kw 4age motor here

Yes, they will fit. But my 4AC one almost died at the thought of cranking my high comp smallport. Simply coudlnt get enough current. And thats on a 120A rated fuse.

Probably more the current loss over the 3m ish run of cable from the battery to the starter.
Meh, i have a nice reduction starter (fwd 100kw) in there which works 3000x better.
