Was hanging at someone's work the other day when the apprentice knocked off, in a rush to get home.
Boss: "Silly bugger'd have more time if he didn't take his springs out every weekend."
Me: " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (stunned silence) . . . . . WHAT?"
Boss: "Yeah, every Friday night or Saturday arvo he takes the springs out and cruises around on the bump-stops. He's gotten pretty quick at it."
Me: " . . . . . . Riiiiiiiiiiggghhht . . . . "
It's a 4-door Kingsy, HQ i think. Not sure if that makes it better or worse!

Was that ride, which "wasn't too bad" being compared to getting dragged on your ass over a boulder-field ?
The real kicker with the Kingswood kid, and wait for it . . . He's an apprentice MECHANIC !
|
Being an apprentice mechanic doesnt mean he should know better. There are alot of people who progress through appretniceships and become tradespeople yet still have no idea what they're really doing.

Word!
Generally you will find that a tradesman will have the dodgyist shit in relation to their trade. i.e. a sparky will have a dodgily wired house, or a mechanic will have a dodgy/illegal car!

I know a lot of people that cut springs so low they just fall out...
Mainly on dattos... But there used to be a Verada wagon that had springs so low he had to cut out the bumpstops so the wheels would turn...
