Hiace V8 or V6 conversion

Hi Guy's,
Has anyone out there had any experience with or know someone who has converted a Hiace to a V6 or V8. I am looking for advice on any pitfalls and/or tips on doing this conversion. I know these conversions have been done and wondered if there were any kits available to make the conversion easy and also wondered what the legalities of such a conversion are.

There was a guy around in Melbourne who transplanted a 350 Chev V8 into one. The van was street registered and fully legal, according to him. Apparently it put down some pretty interesting numbers!

Speak to "HiAce" who's on these forums. He's got a V6 Hiace. Looks really nice too.

theres a nice mitsubishi express with a 350chev running 11's..maybe you should follow suit with the hiace?  351 windsor would go well in there too....

There are plenty 1UZ hilux's around. They go pretty hard aparently.
One conversion is Sideshow on these forums.
(1UZFE = 32 valve quad cam goodness)
