Is it just me or are COPS starting to get weird...
...today a cop car with two officers in it drove past my car which was parked on the side of the road...
...they stopped next to it for about a minute scoping it out...meanwhile i was watching where they couldnt see me...they then proceeded to do a lap around the block and came back to my car AGAIN and stopped next to it for a minute or so and then drove off around the block AGAIN...
...They did this a further 2 times before i finally decided to make a run for it...
...i mad the run to my car and drove away at speed only to see them two cars back stuck in traffic looking really annoyed...
...i got away from them in the side streets around my area and havnt heard anything since...
Im just confused as to what they were doing.....

I agree they were out to make a few dollars, from you.
so your lucky they got held up in traffic.
thing is you might not be so lucky next time they just might sit and wait for you to come back.
since you said "they didnt get to me in time to defect me luckily" they'll wait next time.

yeah, i would've walked up and asked them how they were etc...
then just played dumb if they ask you stuff about your car
although i dont know what your car looks lke, so i cant really make any judgement on your success 
but if they saw you "get away", they're probably on the lookout for you know

They probly thought it looked seedy or something, maybe waiting for sum 1 to role it? Anyway, the point is, if you talk to them next time, make sure you say "Your...your not going to look in the boot are you??"

the tyres were being replaced next day
they have brand new tread now anyway...
i think that they were mainly looking at the ride height and shit...and the fact that the car is practically covered in stickers..but its all good though...

I agree, a car riding on bumpstops with bald tyres should be defected... thats why we have defecting laws, however I doubt the average cop knows about bumpstops!
I hope you didn't chop your springs.

unfortunately i was sold the springs when i knew nothing about cars....
i havnt bothered to change them yet cause i really only drive that particular car when my other car is off the road..
