Hi
Recently, i have begun to hear really bad noises from my diff. Im sure its going to blow soon so i have decided to be prepared and get a diff ready.
Atm, im running the stock 3.9 gears with the 4age in an AE86.
Im wanting to upgrade to 4.3, and have heard that the TA22 etc celicas diffs will fit. What im wondering is if my tailshaft will fit or ill need a suitable one??
any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Andrew

Diffs for an AE86, this has to be the most popular ToyMods topic ever. Do a search man, it's been covered so many times it's not funny!

don't think there is anything else that will go in.
The ones out of the celicas are T series and the ones in the sprinters are S, or vice versa
I have heard u can change the whole rear from a celica into the sprinter staight bolt up, but then I heard from someone else it won't and u need to change the mounts.
So im not sure on that.

Depends which Celica diff you're talking about... I went to my local Toyota wrecker though, and just bought a 4.3 diff centre that bolted straight in, they said it was a T18 one, whatever it was I didn't argue
