Need a confirmation on some planned mods Wed, 06 April 2005 09:08 Go to next message
Hey all,

Just want to double check that I have researched correctly.
1) Need to know if a TA22 t-series rear end (drum to drum) will bolt up to an AE86?

2) Will MA61 front disks and calipers mount up to AE86 Struts?

If there is some custom work to do in either mod, what will be involved?

Thanks heaps,

James

Sarcasm aside,

norbie: any chance of some elaboration on those answers? I remember reading in one of the posts that an AE86 rear end would go into a TA22, so why wouldn't it work the other way around? Just need to know if mounting points are the same, cos I will be getting a custom tailshaft made for it anyway.

Mounting points are different, ie the spacing between the control arms. The AE86 diff used to be a popular swap for Celicas back in the day, but grinding/welding was necessary to make it happen.
