Hey ya'll,

Well after hoarding pics of everyones AE86's from the board, I thought I might as well post up pics of my car.

I've had the car since 2002 and recieved it in my last year of high school as my first car. The car was originally bought off an old couple who happen to buy it brand new when they were released!

Anywayz, heres what's been done to it.

JDM RWD 4A-GE
Aftermarket air filter
JDM washer and overflow bottle
*Making it as neat and clean as possible

Suspension:
Set of Low King springs
Set of Monroe Gas shocks
Front Racescpec strut brace

Wheels:
14x7 Jap mesh wheels (unknown brand, but if anyone knows what they are feel free to tell me ^_^)

Interior:
Ital Volanti leatehr steering wheel *like the one from Initial D Razz
Stock JDM bucket seats
JVC Mp3 CD player
4 semi-decent speakers
*Personal hand-held fan for A/C Razz
*Very clean Very Happy

Exterior:
Original paint Razz
OEM copy front lip
OEM copy sideskirts

Misc:
Original keys
Original tool kit
Original Sprinter manual

And to all who haven't upgraded their front OEM suspension yet, DAMN OEM FRONT SHOCKS, DAMN THEM TO HELL!!!

Soo happy to have working shocks now, doesn't handle like a shopping trolly now Razz

Thanks goes out to Matt and Andrew for installing the parts for me, I hope the HJ's meal was worth it in the end Very Happy

nah not when you have an uncle that used to work at a tyre place and who has all the tools and pretty much does it for you for a case of beer, just had to do the easy jobs he did the rest, ie i remove tyres, brace the strut as he tries to undo the hat nut or whatever you wanna call, it, all up probably took us 3-4 hours, including plenty of chatting and my uncle having lots of smokos.

The 4A-GE engine conversion!!! Tue, 15 November 2005 03:07 Go to previous messageGo to next message
Well after a long while of procrastinating and generally being damn lazy, I've finally decided to post up pics of the my car as it is now Smile

After having my car for over 3 years now, it was till this year that I managed to gather enuf funds for an engine conversion. Thus finding myself a low km (~77,000km) JDM RWD 4A-GE with gearbox and complete loom for ~$1500 locally, I was quick to snatch it up Smile

Having not done an engine conversion myself, I was rather scared of the proceedings, but once started, everything came together rather well and easy.

Below are some of the pics I took during the process of my car's tranformation Razz

The conversion:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v396/Beserker99/My%20AE86/Conversion/th_4A-GE030.jpg <--- Installed shiny new strut brace. NOW ALL DONE!!!

Well that's it for my conversion process. It all went rather well IMO. It only took about 10 days for the whole conversion over a sum of 5 weeks (only working on weekends and most of the time hungover Razz). All and all, it was a good learning experience. Being rahter a novice to the mechanics of cars, I learned a lot form the process. The entire conversion was done by me and a couple of friends that helped along the way. Cheers guys, you know who you are Very Happy

Anyways, that was all done like 2 months ago, and as of then, it's been a small chore making it all neat and tidy. There have been no major dramas since the conversion, as it has been very reliable, except that its eating more fuel than it should Sad Other than that, the engine is a winnah, and I LOVES IT!!!

In the first post are some updated specs of the car.

Hope ya like it ^_^
