SUSPENSION CHOICES FOR MY AE86 Fri, 08 April 2005 03:33 Go to next message

Hey guys Cool

i've only had my car for around a month now and i bought it knowing pretty much everything will need to be replaced...

so far i've bought a t-18 diff which i should be picking up shortly and aftr driving my car few nights ago i realised new shocks is nExt on the list as my car was bouncing around too much for my liking Confused

it will be my daily driver so i'm more concerned with road holding(sydney roads Very Happy )than its ability to hold a nice drift.

as much as i'd love to have sumthing like Tokico HTS's, i feel i'd waste my money coz i won't be using them to anywhere near their potential because it features a whole load of adjustability
i won't even use...

are there any shocks u guys would recommend for road-use but with still sum adjustability????

and btw sorry bout the long post hehehe Shocked Confused Surprised Sad

thanks for the link but i've already read it...

it mostly has ppl describing their current suspension setup and most of these guys take their cars to the track time to time.

its just i don't want to spend like $900 for shocks everyone recommends is good for fast street/track use when i can find sumthing cheaper which will suffice for daily driving.

all i'll need to take into consideration is that my car will be lowered around 2inches??

ok... i changed my mind and i'm gonna order sum Tokico HTS dampers thru greenline... hopefully they'll be about $700-$750 landed, and a fresh set of bushes from noltec,

anyone recommend a specific type of springs to go with my choice of dampers?? i'll be running 15x7inch wheels and a sensible ride height...

just in regards to lowering tho... how low do u guys think i should go?? i heard 1.5 inches is a good height.
