How's it goin out there fellow Toyota nerds!
I've heard people talk of roll center adjuster kits for the front suspension of a TA22.
Can anyone give me an honest educated or experienced answer as to what effect they have on the handling?
What part of the handling are they supposed to improve?
Perhaps even more to the point. Do they actually exist?
Who makes them?

Probably only slightly less rare (read: impossible to obtain) than RCA's were for my 1973 KE25 Corolla.

My Ke25 is lowered several inches below standard height, so low that the control arms were angled up etc. Which meant that cornering was less than stable and bump sterr was evident. The RCAs effectively lengthen the strut without raising the cars ride height this moves the angle of the control arm back closer to factory angles.
My example is that I raised my car 27mm (using the adjustability of my coil-overs) and then made 24mm RCA's for each side. This rasied the height of the front 27mm but effectively lengthened the strut 51mm. I initially thought I may have needed thicker RCA's but it turned out that this worked perfectly. After fitting the RCA's I took the car to Wakefield park and was extremely impressed with the change they made (it was noticeable on the street too, but the track helped confirm it). Bump steer was totally eliminated and the car did not need constant correction through fast corners any more. In my case it was one of the best changes I have made to the handling.

I don't know if you can buy them for the celica??? Probably hard to come by and pricey too. I made mine for a total of about $10 (aluminium plate, studs). I don't have any fancy tools so they were literally hand made and took about 2 - 3 hours to complete.
They turned out really well, worked well and cost next to nothing.

AE86 ones should fit. Unfortunately I can't remember the company, but somewhere listed the same part number for AE86 and TA22 RCAs.
However be careful as the steering arms aren't identical. I made two identical sets, one fitted my sprinter perfectly, the other needed some die grinding to fit a TA22.
