After work drinks last night i came to the station to catch the train home and noticed the news agency was still open so i went in and found Motor Hot tuner Autumn edition 2005. Anyway i bought it and found it a good ride. It is produced by motor magazine but is based on tuning packages and mods, lots of commo and falcon packages but bmw, wrx, ferrari etc too interesting read and much more pallitable than hot 4's cos the mag has almost nill rice and is much more professionally written.
I'd say its just a quarterly thing but haven't seen it before this was the 3rd issue but last year i had a motor subscription so didn't really hit the newsagencies that often.

speed is produced by them anyway, not the same writers but same company, its pretty good, mainly focus's on kits to mod up cars and before and after results, ie they get a GT and an SS flash tuned but do time before the mods then after etc. Its a good read and something a little different, probably not to the liking of toymodders cos the amount of holden kits but its a good read. The ferrari is nuts. 355 3.5L twin turbo running 12.5 psi and producing 550kw and 890nm of torque, still runs stock running gera and compression ratio of 11.0:1 and has been like this for a while. As yet it has no suspension mods so it can't cop with the power going round a corner but he is looking at some konis that are 3 grand a corner all up 25 grand in suspension mods.

How was that guy with the M3 Convertable, Ferrari 360 Spider and HSV Grange not to mention the 2 bikes as well.
I want to be his son....although he did look a bit crazy
Anyone know what he does to have cars like that?

reading the mag there seems to be some dodgy dyno figures, claiming that the accepted loss for gen 111 V8 atw is around 17%, when street commodores looks more at 25-30%.
The flash tuner one the stock ss reels of 224kw atw the car has 250kw at the flywheel. Then after mods it has 240rwkw. The figures would be accepted by many as being well over 300kw at flywheel for a commodore, that dyno operator is dodgy in my opinion.
