k-50 5 speeds

i i just want to know if anyone has put a k50 gearbow from a ke7x into a ke20 series and want to know how far back the shitfer sits compared to the early cars cos the wreak told me that the shift would sit to far back between the front seats
any help or picture of one in a ke20

I think that it is hard as the KE20 is cable clutch, and the KE70 is hydraulic?
or maybe they are both cable? I cant rem
but look into it. may be a suprice waiting if you dont

all k-50 boxs cable that what i think t-50 are hydro , want know if the shifter is going to be set to far back or not because i can't fing a early ke35 k-50 box but have founf a ke70 box

I don't have piccies, but, yes you will have to move the hole, no it won't be too far back. In about the same spot as a late T-50 is in them. Slam it in, son!

all you need to do is get the extension housing and shifter from a KE55 K50, and then whack that onto the KE70 K50 box. i have this in my KE15.
too easy...
or cut a hole further back, and fabricate a different rear mount (the KE70 mount is different to the KE10/20/30/55 mount)

well sound a bit extreme as i can't even find ke55 or 35 k-50 gearbox in the first place and i thought the 70 box would still just bolt in and the only diff was the shifter location

i have a k-50 box in my ke10 out of a ke70. Hole was cut back a bit. As you are in adelaide, there is a k-50 box in a ke30 wagon at u pull it lonsdale.

never thought 5 speed would be a wagon but owell hopfully it still there next sat don't got the time during the week to go
