on the jzx81 half cut i have this plastic object located between the vacuum hose that connects to the BOV that looks like a check valve, mine is broken, what is it used for?

background info my cressida is a GX81 which came with a 1G-FE non VVTi so hopefully doing this conversion will breath some life into the car
