Engine Stalling

I've got a problem with my chaser when I start it if I touch the accellerator it stalls the car. I can hold the accellerator just on and it will drop the revs like its chocking the car and more accellerator any it'll stall. If I leave the car for 5 mins or so it won't stall. It seems to happen when I the auto throtle (I think thats what its called?) is on and the revs are up. Any info would be awesome
~ Cheers

yeh thats just because the choke is on. i think all you need to do is let it warm up for a bit before you start feeding alot of throttle.

yeah your probably right but the thing that worries me is that it hasn't always done it, why has it started doing it? could of the start of a big problem or it could just be nothing either way I'd like to know just so I'd know - ya know

hey sounds like your auto choke is not working cause when you first start a car its cold and it bogs down does it rev up like it used to or does it sit at 800 rpm straight away this i assume is when its dead cold like hasn't been driven for like a couple of hours

choke works, it goes to about 1500 RPM or so when its started and comes down but during that period you can't give it any revs when it comes down to 800 (idle) its usually good, but yeah this happens when its dead cold. oh and whats that guys number that you got ya supera stuff off?

Fuel injected cars don't have a choke.
The behaviour definitely is not normal. It sounds like an air leak, so check carefull for any loose connections or wayward hoses in your inlet system.

yeah injected cars just pump more fuel in to bring the revs up and get it warm when it thinks its warm it drops the fuel rate off breese said it might be the tps throttle position sensor but yeah air leak could be it but if it goes away that probably isn't an air leak any way the warm up is controlled by the computer so i hope its something simple.

Fuel Injected engines bypass air from behind the throttle body into the manifold to bring up the revs, either the pressure drop (MAP) or air flow difference (AFM) is measured and extra fuel is metered in accordingly.
