Hey Guys..
i reckon we should try to pick up the cruise atmosphere a bit more. the few that we have had havn't been too bad. I mean it would b great to see more come but the turn out isn't too bad.. How about 1 weekend very soon, we all meet up in campbell town or there abouts so all the "Northern" people can meet up with the "Southern's" then we can go for a cruise around the middle lands where there is no one to annoy... The reason i picked Campbell town, obviously its a rough half way between hobart and launie, but its quite an obvious town and there is places we can stop off and resupply !!
Wat does everyone else think ?

when would best suit u guys... wat day.. a Thursday would b best for me but obviously others have to work then... how about a sunday so Hobart starts at 9-10am and meets, DEC car park is good... then cruise on up to campbell to arrive 1-1:15 hour later on the main strip in campbell town (down near the toilets near that oval thing) then i spose we can cruise around from there.. i am don't much of the rest of that area accept for the main strip!! it would be good to take some back roads to stay out of everyones way cause all our cars are quite noisy!! yes quint i am looking at u!! anyway wat do u guys thinks !

My sister has and my mum is almost 100 so there is no talent at my house.
I could get some of my female friends down and make a real nite of it.
Campbell town sounds good i know ive been there but what one is it?
all those little towns look the same.
Campbell town is also 1 of the bigger towns in between here and the north.
But i know tunbridge is excatly in the middle.

Gday i know shouldn't be posting this in here, but living in the cubicle we call Tassie you kind of get ignored in the national clissifieds.
Im Looking to sell my AE82 Twin Cam Hatch
its got a fairly stock 4AGE (think its the 100KW one with the better induction system)
Body's smick as and has a White respray with red pearl through it and a small custom front spoiler. Also has all the side plasic removed.
Iteriors all really good (brown though)
ROH mags (there nothing to special) but good tread.
Twin tip crome exhaust with a nice note
Runs well , its done 295000 ks but there has been a lot of referbishment and pritty much rebuilt not long ago. New radiator, leads, spark plugs, head.
Looking for about $4500 negotiable.
Though you guys might want it or know some one who dose.

hmmm will u bring it out on a crusie with us ??? AE82 i thought they only had the 86kw with AFM or has it been swapped ? and $4500 is a bit steep... i don't doubt it is in good cond... but i have seen many AE92 SX and GTi for $5000... i mean personally i would rather pay the extra $500 for the newer model... but that is me.... good luck with the sale though

i got an army weekend this weekend coming... 200 BOMBS  WOO GO ARTILLERY!!! but yea we should all meet up, it would b reat if we had some sort of specialist tasmanian toyota jackets or shirts made up for it so we could walk around looking like we are a team in it... infact wouldn't it be great if all of us got together in a few years and made a toyota targa team.. wat car u reckon we should build up... maybe something like an MA61!!!! but seriously here is a list of cars we could create..
MA61 + 7MGTE or 1JZ, good powerful and light rwd

Then we fang around the country side for a while then head back to hobart then kingo.
then we come to my house hit the piss then crash out and get up around 11/12 maybe go for a nice cruise down the channel and the northerners can either hang around or leave to embark on their journey back home.
I think it sounds fun

Are u serious... ??!?!? it would be awesome if u could... he wants $12,000 for both... which means $6000 each but thats bullshit i reckon we could get the price down.. espically him being in hobart and in dyer need of selling his car its a burgandy MA70 with targa top.. its 7MGE and auto, but if we buy them together, i will take the 1JZGTE and give you the rolling shell of the JZA70, the jza70 is black and is imported... but you could either pick up a 2JZ for it and that will go in, else you could transfwe everything from the jza70 onto the MA70 and have a fucking nice car..

Only way to legally get rego for a vehicle that has been imported for race/rally use is to send it back to japan and then apply for a new import approval and then re-import it. In this case it still wouldn't work because jza70s arn't 15 years old yet (15 year rule is nearly dead anyway) and they can't be imported under sevs because they are classed as being the same at the ma70 which was released in Australia. The only possible way i can see to get it on the road is to export it to japan, own it in japan for 1 year and then import it under the personal import scheme. Importing a car in Australia really sux now!

Also, if this jza70 is the car that i think it is, it was registered as an 85 model in NSW illegally (swapped plates with an aussie ma70 or something) and then sold by a dude on these forums though ebay to someone in tassie, there was a big bitching thread about a year back when the tassie dude realised that it was illegally registered and couldn't be re registered in tassie. could be a different jza70 however.
